How You Can Help
Construction season for 2011 has arrived, and here's what we have on the list so far: We rescued a bunch of new primates over the fall and winter, and they all need outdoor enclosures.
Kotton and Kringle, black and white ruffed lemurs, new enclosure.
Buddy and Twill, ringtailed and red front/black lemurs, new enclosure.
Spazzy and Shadow, raccoons, new enclosure.
Oliver and Mango, kinkajou, new enclosure.
Woody - build a new house
Naomi - house renovation
Old emu enclosure - rebuild into new arrivals enclosures
Nursery enclosure - rebuild, expand
Kamen`s old house - rebuild to use as a lockout
These are all new construction projects, we also have to do normal after-winter
maintenance on all of the enclosures.
Here is our wish list of supplies:
Donate gift cards for Home Depot, Rona, Lowe's, or Princess Auto
Donate Canadian Tire money
Mini ties (garden lumber)
Industrial grade fencing and lumber that is not pre-used
Large construction staples
and long green (coated) deck screws (3")
New (not pre-owned) chest freezers (we just lost 2)
Bales of shavings
Shovels and rakes (not pre-used)
Wheel barrows (not pre-used)
Basketballs and soccer balls (the lions and tigers love them!)
Paper towels, tea towels (not blankets, we have plenty!)
Environmentally friendly cleaning supplies (they're non-toxic for the animals)
