Well lived, well loved, very much missed.
Yukon is with Nikita now, he missed her terribly.

Yukon and Nikita were two of our wolfdogs. They were brother and sister, and lived in the same enclosure. Yukon is malamute, husky and wolf. He is huge and powerful. Wolfdogs like Yukon and Nikita are used as freight dogs in the north, because they can pull a huge amount of weight on a sled and can run all day. Yukon and Nikita are best friends.

Yukon passed away over the weekend of April 12, 2010. He and Nikita lived long, happy lives with us. He became frail after she died in 2009 and lost his battle this weekend. We miss him terribly, they were both very sweet and very fun animals to work with.

Yukon and Nikita are both very sweet, but that
makes them hard to take pictures of. All of the
next photos were taken from on top of a ladder
over their fence. Yukon was waiting for
Andrzej to throw him a turkey.
