Mutemi (male) and Malia (female) are Vervet monkeys. Also known as green monkeys, vervets are from Africa south of the Sahara desert. They live in trees and on the ground, but spend most of their time on the ground. They are omnivorous, (they will eat anything) but eat mostly fruits and grasses. Mutemi and Malia love maple leaves.

They have large teeth and can deliver a powerful bite.
