Smoky is an adult male raccoon. He is missing one front leg, he came to Bear Creek that way. We don't know how he lost his leg, but it doesn't slow him down any. He can climb and run well. They aren't naturally aggressive but will fight ferociously if they are cornered. Raccoons are a part of the bear family and will eat anything.
Raccoons have been hunted for their luxurious coats for a long time.
Smoky loves his teepee house. He has two other houses as well.
Please remember that wild animals don't make good pets. Smoky has sharp teeth and will use them.
