Samson is our youngest lemur. He is a Ring Tailed lemur. All lemurs come from the island of Madagascar. He is affectionate and curious. Lemurs eat fruits and veggies and some bugs. Sammy has a beautiful soft coat. Ring Tailed lemur's tails always start with a white ring and end in black. Lemurs have scent glands on their wrists and under their tails that they use to mark their territory. Male lemurs will have "stinky tail" fights during which they mark their tails and wave them at each other.
Lemurs can get chilled easily, so our lemurs have heat lamps in their winter enclosures.
Schools may have issues with head lice, but at Bear Creek we have bigger problems.
