Redd and Artemis are male North American foxes. They are brothers. The North American fox is smart, shy and very adaptable. "Red Fox" is a common name for this animal, but they aren't always red. Colour variations can occur in the same litter, as with Redd and Artemis and also with
Bear, Kodiak, and Willow
. Foxes will eat rodents, insects, plants, garbage, and pretty much anything else they can get. They are an important element in pest control on farms, even if they do steal the occasional chicken.
Redd is very shy and hard to take pictures of.
Summer coat
Redd's house is about half buried. Foxes can dig amazing tunnels and he's very comfortable and feels safe there.
Artemis
Artemis has sharp teeth!
