Bear Creek Sanctuary - Ring Tailed Lemurs

Patti (Patrick, for St. Patrick's Day) and Meko, our adult male Ring Tailed Lemurs, didn't come to Bear Creek together. Meko was blind when he came here, and we were a bit apprehensive to put them together. But we watched them carefully for a long time, and when we did put them together Patti immediately began taking care of Meko.They were best, best friends. Meko passed away quietly in November of 2007 at the approximate age of 17. We miss Meko terribly, but Patti is doing well

Update: in July of 2008 Sammy and Patti moved in together. To our great dismay Sammy suddenly passed away on September 8, 2008. We are all heartbroken and miss him terribly. Patti is doing well.
