Nikita and Yukon are two of our wolfdogs. Nikita was malamute, husky and wolf. She was a big, powerful girl with spectacular blue eyes. She was very sweet and very silly. And very beautiful. Nikki passed away in October of 2009. We miss her terribly.

Wolfdog is the proper name for any mix of a dog and a wolf. They are not true hybrids because dogs and wolves are the same species. It is illegal in Ontario to own a wolf or a dog with any wolf ancestry in it without a permit.
