Marley - Scarlet Macaw
 
Marley is a Scarlet Macaw. Macaws are part of the parrot family and are native to Central and South America. They are the national bird of Honduras. Scarlet macaws are endangered in the wild, due in large part to poaching, habitat destruction and pesticide use. They are large intellegent birds and get bored easily. They can live up to 80 years. Marley has an extensive and interesting vocabulary.

Marley lived with Calisto for a while in the spring of 2007, but he pulled one of Calisto's tail feathers out. So we separated them like bad school children.
