Calisto is a Blue-and-gold Macaw. Macaws are a part of the parrot family and are indigenous to Central and South America. They are large, strong birds and can be very loud and destructive. They are smart birds and need to be entertained. Macaws often become attached to only one person. They can bite very hard with their powerful beaks and can live up to 80 years. Calisto can howl like a wolf and cluck like a chicken.

Calisto lived with Marley for a while in the spring of 2007, but Marley pulled one of Calisto's tail feathers out. So we separated them like bad school children |
